Your child’s complimentary studio portrait session has been reserved.

This page will guide you through exactly what to expect and how to prepare so your appointment feels calm, simple and enjoyable.

If you read this once before attending, you will be fully prepared.

What To Expect On The Day

Your appointment includes:

• 10-minute private studio session
• One child
• One backdrop
• One outfit
• Immediate portrait viewing after the session

Total appointment time is approximately 20–30 minutes.

After your child’s portraits are captured, you’ll remain in the studio to view the finished images and decide which portraits you would like to keep.

You may:

• Select your one included high-resolution digital image
OR
• Upgrade to a full portrait collection

There is no obligation to purchase additional images. You simply decide on the day once you’ve seen them.

Why 10 Minutes Is Enough

Children photograph best in short, focused sessions.

Energy, expression and attention peak early.
Longer sessions often reduce natural expressions.

This session is intentionally brief to capture authentic portraits without fatigue or pressure.

Preparing For Your Session

Clothing

Keep it simple.

• Neutral tones photograph beautifully
• Avoid large logos, bold prints and characters
• Texture works well (linen, knits, soft cotton)
• One outfit only

Please arrive with your child fully dressed and ready.

Hair & Grooming

• Natural styling is best
• Avoid major haircuts the same day
• Clean faces and tidy nails

The goal is timeless, natural portraits.

Emotional Preparation

Please avoid coaching your child to “smile nicely.”

Instead, let them know:

“We’re going to take some quick photos.”

The less pressure they feel, the better the expressions.

If your child needs a moment to settle, that’s completely normal.

Viewing & Collection Options

Immediately after your session, you will view your child’s finished portraits.

At that time, you may choose:

Included With Your Invitation

• One professionally edited high-res 8x12 digital image

Optional Individual Collection – $150

• Minimum 4 high-resolution digital images guaranteed
• Most children receive 10–15 finished portraits
• Full resolution files ready to download

If fewer than 4 images are delivered, your purchase is refunded.

Optional Sibling Collection – $225

• Individual portraits of each child
• Sibling portraits together
• Minimum 8 high-resolution digital images guaranteed
• Most sibling sessions include 20–30 finished portraits

If fewer than 8 images are delivered, your purchase is refunded.

All upgrade decisions are made during your appointment.

Payment Information

If you choose to upgrade on the day, payment is accepted via:

• Card (EFTPOS)
• Exact cash only

Please note:

No change is kept onsite.
If paying cash, please bring the exact amount ($150 or $225).

Digital images are delivered within 14 days.

Studio Guidelines

• A parent or legal guardian must remain present at all times
• One child per complimentary booking
• Late arrivals reduce session time
• Arrivals more than 5 minutes late may result in forfeiting the session due to scheduling
• No food, drinks or pets permitted

If your child is unwell, please reschedule with more than 24 hours’ notice.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Shyness is normal. Short sessions help children feel comfortable quickly.

  • We guide gently and efficiently. If we cannot deliver the minimum image guarantee on a purchased collection, you are refunded.

  • Each booking is valid for one child. For Sibling portraits make sure to book back-to-back sessions (max 2) which will give us enough time to capture both children.

  • Approximately 20–30 minutes including viewing.

  • No. One digital image is included with your invitation.

  • Within 14 days of your appointment.
