Terms of Service: The Portfolio Intake

1. Placement, Selection & Payment

Placements in the Moller Portfolio Intake are awarded based on technical and narrative alignment.

  • The 24-Hour Window: Upon receiving a "Formal Offer of Placement," the investment of $350 must be settled in full within 24 hours.

  • Late Payment Policy: If payment is received after the 24-hour window and the placement has been reallocated to the waitlist, a refund will be issued minus a $25 administrative and transaction fee.

2. Cohort Activation & Production Standards

The Moller Framework operates on a Fixed Cohort Model. A studio production is only "Activated" once a full cohort of 6 paid placements is finalized.

  • Under-Subscription Protocol: If a specific studio cohort does not reach the 6-dancer minimum, Moller Portrait reserves the right to:

  • Extend the application window to fulfil the cohort.

  • Open the remaining placements to "Guest Dancers" from the regional waitlist.

  • Move the session to a "Regional Hub" neutral location.

  • Refund Policy: All payments are non-refundable. If a cohort cannot be activated within 6 months of your payment, a full refund will be issued. Otherwise, funds are held as a credit for future intakes.

Moller Portfolio reserves the right to activate cohorts of fewer than 6 at the artist's discretion to provide a boutique experience.

3. The Intensive Format & Attendance

The Portfolio Intake is a 3-hour immersive masterclass within a 6-hour production window.

  • Group Assignment: Dancers are assigned to a specific 3-hour block (Group A or Group B). Assignments are released via a "Call Sheet" 5 days prior to the production.

  • Punctuality: Dancers must arrive warmed up and ready to move at the start of their assigned 3-hour block. Late arrivals disrupt the technical directing of the cohort; those arriving more than 15 minutes late will forfeit their session with no refund.

  • Full Attendance: Dancers are expected to remain for the full 3-hour duration to participate in the observational learning and "Silent Set" etiquette of the masterclass.

4. Rescheduling & Sickness

  • No-Shows: Failure to attend the activated session results in total forfeiture of the placement and investment.

  • Illness: If a dancer is unable to attend due to illness, a $50 Rebooking Fee is required to move the placement to a future intake. This fee covers the lost studio slot and administrative restructuring.

  • Replacement: Dancers may "sell" or gift their spot to another student at the same studio, provided the replacement dancer passes the Moller Technical Audit at least 48 hours prior to the session.

5. Creative Selection, Curation & Production Timing

  • Collaborative Curation: Dancers will collaborate with the photographer to shortlist their preferred shots during the session via the live tethered monitor. Dancers are responsible for their own technical execution and self-correction. Moller Portrait provides the cinematic environment and real-time visual feedback to facilitate the dancer's artistic audit.

  • The Production Clock: The Portfolio Intake operates on a high-intensity production schedule. Each "Pillar" has a specific time allocation for shooting and selection. Once a station time expires, the dancer must move immediately to their next transition to ensure the cohort's flow is maintained.

  • Specific Selection Windows:
Dancers are required to review the tethered monitor and lock in their chosen "Industrial Master" within the following time-frames:

    • Pillar I (Industry Headshot): 7 minutes of active shooting / 3-minute Final Selection.

    • Pillar II (The Technical Line): 15 minutes of active shooting / 5-minute Final Selection.

    • Pillar III (Signature Silhouette): 12 minutes of active shooting / 3-minute Final Selection.

    • Pillar IV (Editorial Narrative): 12 minutes of active shooting / 3-minute Final Selection.

Photographer Selection Authority: To protect the 6-hour production window and the experience of the entire cohort, if a dancer is unable to reach a final decision within the designated "Final Selection" window of any pillar, the Photographer will make the selection on the dancer's behalf. This selection is final and ensures the Moller aesthetic and technical standards are upheld without disrupting the schedule.

Completion Contingency: In the rare event that all four Pillars are not captured within the scheduled intake due to Moller Portrait production-related delays or technical constraints, an alternative 15-minute "Completion Session" will be provided at a neutral hub location at no additional cost.

  • This contingency applies only to the capture of missing pillars. It is not a re-shoot of existing images and does not apply to sessions where the dancer was unable to meet technical standards or arrive "Set-Ready" within their allocated time.

  • Completion sessions are scheduled at the artist's discretion based on studio availability.

Finality of Edits: The "Artistic Edit" for Portfolio Intakes is final. No revision requests or aesthetic changes will be accepted.

6. Partner Studio Marketing & Usage Rights

  • Partner Studio Benefit: By participating in a Studio-based Intake, parents and dancers agree that images may be shared with the Studio Owner for the studio’s internal marketing and promotional use. If the studio is not a partner studio the images are not approved to be shared with them unless written consent to the studio from Moller Portrait

  • Licensing: Images are licensed for Personal Use and Professional Auditioning only. Use for commercial resale or distribution to third-party brands (e.g., dancewear companies) without express written permission is strictly prohibited.
